Well, while I'm waiting on hold on the phone, I figure I might as well be productive. :) We're in our new place and loving it. I will post pictures later.
I can't believe it's been so long since I last posted. Here are some fun pictures from the 4th of July. The night of the 3rd we watched fireworks with some people from church at the La Mirada park. Javi really liked it and there was yummy food. He loved sitting in this chair,

I'm not even sure who's it was. He especially loved it when he figured out he could put the water bottle in the little holder.

He was sitting with Simon before the fireworks started but when the first ones came (we were really close so it was super loud) he started going, mom, mom, mom...each time a little more panicky. He was sort of okay after that. He liked them much more the next day when we watched them from a little farther off.

Then on the 4th we had a lot of fun with the Guzmans. Juanita gave him this flag for his fourth of july picture. :) He's so patriotic.

First at their house for a little barbeque, then at Simon's aunt's for a cousin's birthday party with the pinata and then to a park to watch the fireworks. It's fun to watch the boys get bigger and play more with each other.
I swear he's my son even though he doesn't love ice cream...his cousins sure do though. I love his little face in the background. These are my little nephews Roland in the back and Nathan.

Nathan may only be 11 months old, but he knows how to chow down on an ice cream cone!

This is with the pinata at Simon's cousin's party. I thought Javi would be pumped to hit it because hitting things with stick-like objects is his favorite pasttime...I think there were just too many people. Just wait.

He did figure out that it was a good idea to pick up the candy that fell out of the pinata. I attribute it partly to the fact that we are always picking up trash at our apartment building...I'm making a neat freak out of my child...okay, side story...the other day at church I had him in the back of Relief Society (what, Javi disruptive???) and I put him down for a sec. He saw a little spec of paper on the ground, picked it up, and proceeded to put in the bag of a lady near us. Always cleaning. :) Love it.

Okay, this mask was a crack up, you can sort of tell, even though I didn't get a great picture of it.

Okay, finally, here are a few picture of the whole group at the park. Javi and Roland had fun playing with the light up toy things. Javi kept putting the one in his mouth, it looked like a cigarette. The good thing was that Javi didn't get scared by the fireworks. It was a great show. The other funny thing about being in LA is that people do crazy (illegal) fireworks from their houses, so as we were driving home from the fireworks show we had another on the freeway, at one point we could see like 7 or 8 different mini shows from people's houses. The fourth never ends!!!! Oh yeah, one more fun thing. I got those popper firecracker things that you throw on the ground. Javi had fun throwing them and actually did it with enough force to pop them. :)
This is the whole fam (I'm the photog) Roland is holding Roland and Vince is next to Simon. What a fun family!

Cute, watching the fireworks. Roland kept saying ooooh and pointing at the fireworks.

Here's Javi fighting and smoking....although I think you can get an idea of where he got it from when you look at that group picture...

I like this picture because Martha is smiling, which she does a lot, except not in pictures...

Well, so much for a quick post... Enjoy!
